Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

At Captive Radiology, our team has extensive experience with MRI options available to healthcare providers. We can help you decide which MRI options will work best for you and your patients.

Closed-Bore MRI normally have a magnetic strength between 1.0T to 3.0T and a diameter of approximately 60 cm. Clarity of closed-bore systems tends to be much stronger than other systems, but it does have some drawbacks.

Due to the dimensions, a closed-bore MRI is not the best option for patients who suffer from claustrophobia or are larger in size. This model can make patients feel quite cramped and could lead to discomfort during an 80 minute session.
